As a beauty blogger, I love to try new face products, especially when they're oil free! I have combination skin. Combination oily during spring and summer, and Combination dry when it turns to autumn and winter, weird I know, but I work it out.
First things first. I have only been a fan of Garnier for their hair products. The smell of their hair items are absolutely blissful and reminds me of going to the beach or that fresh fruit at the farmers market. I've also tried their moisture rescue moisturizer, which I love, since it's lightweight and has a subtle scent, but their eye products are too pricey, let alone they don't meet what they say it does, in my opinion. Anyway,
I recieved the Garnier BB Cream in Oil Free Medium Deep. This shade was perfect for my medium light skin, and even though I have pink tones, it showed seamless and blended well. It evened out most of my skin blemishes and even covered my dark circles, but I needed about three layers for just a medium coverage. This bb cream should be applied in sections. It dries up quickly, I have no other way to explain it. By the time I use my fingers to apply it to my face, and take a brush to blend it in, it's too hard to blend in, so use your warm fingers instead and PAT gently while blending the edges of your face and neck.
There is a slight perfume scent, but i never find it bothersome, and it seems it fades rather quickly. I do wish they had more shades other than light/medium, and medium/deep. Now that I've been in the sun and tanner than ever, it gives me a rather ghostly cast on my face.
I've been using this bb cream for a couple months now, just the fact that I got the opportunity to get it for free thanks to Bzzagent, was a plus.
I don't see dramatic results in evening my skintone, but it did cover up enough of my redness and patches of color uneveness to where I thought was suitable without anymore facial product like face powder. Being that I live in Hawai'i, it is humid here even on sunny days. I've tried this bb cream with and without a face powder, and I have to say, it held up exceptionally well. I did however find that it rubs off or moves easily without a powder to set it, but if you're just going to a beach party and don't want to look as cakey or done up, just use this alone and you're good to go for at least 5 hours with my skintype.
Since I have combination skin, I have on my cheeks and my t- zone. I didn't see a difference on my cheeks, but it did do a number on my t- zone, it wasn't oily nor flakey for hours!
When applying this bb cream, it feels refreshing and moisturizing, but not to the point where you feel oily. Being that it also contains an SPF of 20, who wouldn't want to wear this out?
I reccomend this to people who have had problems with the original formula of the Garnier bb cream, this oily free formula is great!
