Day One of my 30 day Journey

For more inspiration follow my fitblr: http://fitfiercefemale.tumblr.com/

I am tired. So tired, I don't give a crap about my grammar or misspellings in this blog post. Yesterday, I did my first "boxing" exercise since gosh knows when. 20 minutes, and my arms were on fire. Today, my wrists are taking a toll on my driving, I don't want to turn the wheel, it hurts too much lol.Let alone, I'm typing because I want to be another inspirational aspect in this internet kingdom for a weight loss journey.

Although it feels sore, it also feels great. I have a ton of laundry to do tomorrow, but that's not going to hold me down to make time to get shredded this year.

Today, I joined the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred , complete with 3 workouts, one being easy, two, being moderate, and three, of course taking it up a knotch. Yes, a dvd, so cliche, but it works, especially with Jillian. I feel more confident doing a workout at home than going to the gym. This whole time I've been putting of my weightloss, but it only made me physically feel more tired, lazy, and mentally insecure. I don't like to go out even with family because I know physically I'm the biggest. Although they might not care, I do. Family is supposed to love you the way you are, so that support system is out the window, no offense. Another culprit is our local food. Hawai'i is known for hearty meals, and throughout the years I've come to love and get used to eating these meals on a daily basis, which should be a huge no no. I have to literally force myself to not take seconds, to know over pile my plate. Did you know I have been using a preschool bowl, you know, the ones with the sections, so I can get each food group without overdoing it? Pretty cool I think. I've also drank my last sugary soda and high fructose syrup juice for good. NEVER AGAIN.

Will power, that's what I need to tell myself. Will Power, not forcing yourself to do things you don't want to but should because it's healthier. The only way is to change my whole lifestyle, and that includes eating better, and loving myself for how I am already.

Anyway, about the DVD I'm going to be using this month. This is a 30 day plan, which also comes with a meal plan. Luckily I got it for free, because I'm not giving up my Ipsy subscription yet lol.

For level one, we should do it for ten days, level two, ten days, and level three ten days. The cardio and strength routine for level one isn't all that bad, it reminds me of my lovely highschool p.e. days. The only thing is that I didn't feel like it did enough, maybe because it was the first day, or because at the end I was dying, so I couldn't feel anything.

Nonetheless, Jillian tells you to do a beginner or more moderate version, as there were two other women with her showing you their versions, I alternated, just because nobody is perfect and can be a badass overnight. She tells you you can take ONLY 5 second breaks, and that was a killer, because usually I take more than that, way more, and drink tons of water. I didn't drink water for the whole workout. I can say, that this first level did make me lose my breath at times, and that's great. It worked out everything, from your arms to your thighs, this is awesome.

What I got a bit irritated about, was that in the beginning, she would tell us what to do, show us. BUT, she wouldn't go into detail. So while you're already doing the workout, she's telling you to NOT do certain things or it'll hurt you. I  wish she would show how to "form " your body for this certain workout, and then start with the workout. I had to change positions a few times just because she said it a few sceonds later, when I was already doing it!

Lastly, if you're into investing your health and wellness, and to be fit and able to do things you couldn't or even fit into that nice dress you've always wanted, I recommend this dvd. I'll keep up to date every week as I progress!:)
