Neener Neener Nails

Hello my makeup addicts! This is going to be a treat for you! I have had the opportunity to review three nail polishes of my choice from the Etsy shop Neener Neener Nails . I have been talking to the media manager, who is also the husband of the mastermind at hand making these unique polishes, Mike. He was more than happy to let me try out these nail polishes and give them a review and shoutout, so thank you to Nettie and Mike for this wonderful opportunity.

I'd like to say first off, that they are having a winter special, their original price for their polishes have gone down, and also you can buy a few at a discount price, as long as you pick the provided discount special. If you're looking to order for Christmas, please be sure to order by the 19th of December if you want it to make it to your home by Christmas!

Nettie, also known as Annette, is the "chemist" for these wonderful nail polishes. Each nail polish is not the same, they are all equally glittery and opaque in color. Also, they are both 3 free and cruelty free!

Now, when I heard 3 free, I was curious what it was, because I am no nail expert, I don't know anything about nail polishes other than they are beautiful to be used on my nails or toes, and they come off when I want them to.:P Please Click Here for a more detailed article on what 3 free means for nail polish.

Their site has a variety of nail polish colors, I had a hard time choosing my three, but I'm positive to purchase from them soon! They've turned me into a nail polish addict, particularly a Neener Neener Nails addict!:D

I know you all are here for the swatches and such, but firstly, I got to do a quick Q&A with the mastermind of these polishes, Annette. Here's what she has to say about her company.

1. How did you first start off your nail company?

"I've always had a fetish with polish, and well I saw an opportunity to share what I love with the public, meaning I really like to have glittery nails and so should everyone else...."

2. Why the name Neener Neener Nails?

"It's a joke between my husband (who helps me a ton with neener neener) and myself, and to be honest its just fun to say."

3.What are a few unique things about your company that makes you stand out?(I.e., cruelty free, unique color choices, etc.)

"We're Neener Neener Nails...who else can claim that :D"

4. Any suggestions on how to apply your nail products? (i.e., use a base coat first, or layer twice only, etc.)

"Apply as little or as much as you see fit ;-)"

5. Can these nail polishes be used on acrylic, fake nails as well as natural?

"Yes!!!  Neener Neener Nails polishes are good for all nails"

6. Famous quote/motto your company goes by, or any inspirational saying that you go by to keep your company moving forward.

"This is going to sound corny but....NEENER NEENER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

7. Any advice for aspiring business owners?

"Follow your dream's (with a budget)"

Now, for the swatches you've all been wanting to see!

As you can see from the first three pictures, they were carefully packaged to prevent any leacking and breakage, the foam peanuts were a plus, I love playing with those when I was a child, lol.

Each nail polish was wrapped in tulle and ribbon to present it as if it was a gift, it made me smile ear to ear! Very cute yet simple.

Each nail polish I have worn it to maximum 5 days, and the fake nail in each picture is actually freshly swatched. The first picture above, is Ice Princess. It's a pastel mint/ green, with holographic fine glitters and star glitters. I picked this one because I love the mint color, and the blue sparkles were a plus.

I had a bit of trouble mixing the polish and glitter together, even though there are two stainless balls to help with mixing. I don't know if it was because it's always cold here, I store it near my window, or because I'm not a nail expert, but each layer I would apply on my nail, I would rarely brush on stars, let alone a bunch of the fine glitter than I expected. Nonetheless, I tried different ways, and in conclusion, I made sure that there were no glitter settled on the bottom of the bottle, and I also made sure that I mixed the polish for 5 minutes straight to get the solution "warmed up".
I wanted an opaque mint color to my nails, and it took three coats to do it, but each coat dried perfectly for 15 minutes each. Like I've been saying this whole time, I'm not a nail tech, so I don't have the pro nail dryer or even the uv nail kit that I want for my Christmas *wink wink*, but I did the original air dry and some nail dryer drying with my Conair nail dryer.

The is Naught 'n Nice, this was an interesting nail lacquer to look at, because there is a TON of different glitters in here, and it played tricks on me until I looked it up on the Etsy site that it isn't a clear nail polish. To add to the holiday cheer and give the glitters a more red toned look, the main color is a red like jelly polish. It was fairly easy to mix, it also had two stainless steel balls to help with mixing. As shown on the fake nail, I applied it twice, and it gave a nice sheer red tint to the nail, along with fine red and gold glitter, gold hex glitter, a few clear glitters, and little gold strips of glitter too! This polish never ceased to amaze me, because this polish is a bit thicker than the other two, yet it dried within 5 minutes of each layer, very quick for a thick, jelly like formula.I also  used it with a solid nail polish color from Pure Ice, called " Crimson". With the red solid nail color, it added a more intense vibe for the holiday cheer going around this month. Perfect for the holidays, or any occasion where you need to spice up your nails!

Sexy Bish is a clear nail polish with holographic gold hex and fine glitter. This polish's solution was a bit runny, kind of reminded me of a fresh nail polish when you haven't mixed it yet, so I let it mix a few minutes and still came out a bit runny, but not so runny where you're dripping gold all over. This my first favorite nail polish since my teen years. It screams glam, gold, and of course glitter! I used this as french tips for my cousin's wedding, and it never chipped on my once! The wedding was located at a humid location, and my nails always chipped or just plain came off, but not this time!
I used this polish on my fake nails, and also with a top coat. With all the dishes I've washed, laundry I've done, and all the times my hands would bang on anything, I would freak out because I though it'd dent the nail polish, or taken off a bit, but no, it was perfect like how it was the first day!I was worried that these polishes would yellow, just because of the glitters, but these glitters must be cosmetic grade, since they don't fade or bleed like regular craft ones. I'll make sure to ask the owners what type of glitters they use.

Excuse my hideous toes/: I applied Ice Princess on my toes, and they had to dry forever, just because I wanted the opaque mint color to come out as well as a lot of glitter on each toe, but with success, there it is!

Up above, I used a base color from Pure Ice called " Kiss me Here", a plain light grey with Ice Princess, and it was a nice combo. It gave that boring flat color some sparkle, as well as fade it to a pastel-like grey, subtle yet sparkly at the same time.

The Verdict

All three of these polishes are cute, dry fast in my opinon, and you can mix and match them to any base color if you wish! It gives any nail idea you have that extra glam, and I'd recommend these polishes if you're looking for a nail company that loves glitter as much as you do!
For me, they didn't ruin through my busy weekend, where I accidentally banged my hands everywhere from tupperware to metal, and it still held up. I'm very impatient when it comes to drying my nails, my niece is just like me, so although I would love to have a pro nail dryer, I can't afford one at the moment, but I made due and with each layer, it would dry within 10 minutes. No finger imprinted on my nail, and no knicked nails from accidently touching wet polish. AWESOME.

The customer service is exceptional. Communication is key on Etsy, especially if there are custom orders. I don't know if Neener Neener Nails are able to do a personalized nail polish, but they do their best to answer any question you may need answered. The shipping, it came with a week or less, I totally forgot, but I know that it was quick, because usually shipping to Hawai'i would be a couple of weeks. It came in a medium sized rectangular postal box, all securely packaged.

I wanted to thank Neener Neener Nails again for letting me review these polishes, and be sure to stop by their shop with the links provided and tell them that Anna sent you!
