I'm on a roll aren't I? This is a DIY project I had wanted to do for awhile, but I was too unsure if I should waste a nail polish or not. Either way, I love creating new colors, and possibly reuse something that I rarely touched in my makeup collection!
I used an off white shimmery nail polish, because that was the only near white base I could find in my nail set. If you grab unto a white nail polish, the color willl definitely become more vibrant.
This is what the nail polish looked like on my nails, I do recommend using a base first, so you don't have food colored nails:P.It took only one coat for the color to show up...amazing:)
I used 10 drops of blue, and 5 drops of green. After that I literally shook it up like a polaroid picture lol. It would've helped if there was those little metal balls to mix in the bottle, but mine didn't come with any.
I used this nail polish as my base, I have soft nails. After the actual nail polish came off, my nails grew, a LOT .
To prevent any food coloring nail polish to get on your skin, I used a thin paint brush and applied extra virgin olive oil to my cuticles, and whereever I thought I'd need so the nail polish wouldn't touch it.
Thanks to my friend Martha for sending me this wet n wild nail polish! I used it as a gradient of sparkles on a nail for an accent nail!
To top it off, I coated it with Sally Hansen's nailpolish in invisible, and this helped the nail polish stay put for a couple of weeks, no cracks whatsoever! I loved how the color came out.
