My first time

Hello lovely ladies! It has come to my attention MyGlam has turned their name into Ipsy. What is Ipsy?

Well first off, Ipsy in the Urban Dictionary is ;
1.ipsy
Confidently flaunts her own individuality. Has a distinct and unique personal nature.
She carries herself with so much ipsy, she’d make Victoria Beckham jealous.
2.ipsy
Acronym for the phrase "I'll pimp slap you." Most commonly used online and in text messages. Often a reaction to something dumb, unrealistic or crazy. Despite it's aggressive tone, this phrase has a friendly tone when used among people familiar with each other.
Maria: "So he liked antique shopping, I didn't think he was gay!"
Jose: "Are you kidding me? IPSY!"

Jose: "I've got hoes in different area codes!"
Maria: "Different area codes? How many?"
Jose: "Four!"
Maria: "IPSY!

Now, MyGlam being a BEAUTY company, I believe the first definition will suffice :P.
Now, I'm not going to be Ms. Nice Girl ( that doesn't make sense), BUT, I will tell you the facts and what my opinion is on the newly revelated company.

I have seen many YouTube videos about My Glam's reputation with shipping, handling. The loss or overproduction of mail, and their customer service is as unresponsive as a brain dead monkey. Since then, there were many Glam Bags with samples a lot of their fans in general, thought were too small for a DELUXE Sample, or they wouldn't use 80% of what they've received because of the age group. Too young, or too old for a certain product, felt like they wasted their $10 worth that could have gone somewhere else.

Although I wasn't a MyGlam subscriber when it first started, or throughout, I have also seen positive reviews. Nonetheless, they thought they were satisfied with any product they got, or by their customer service, and their bag being on time.
Nonetheless, a couple months ago the bags got a bit better, and they were also improving their website. A few people I have subscribed said that this was a huge positive transformation for the company, so I decided to subscribe to IPSY. This month's Ipsy Bag is inspired by the inner Bombshell. When I thought about Bombshells, I pictured makeup products they'd provide, and I also thought of a few personas that would fit this inspiration. Jessica Rabbit, her pouty cartoon lips and full lashes. Marilyn Monroe, the way she posed for the camera with a smile or a simple grin. Angelina Jolie, almost all of her movies she has been in, her characters persona is with a hint of seduction, and wit. I wouldn't mind having a bit of makeup to boost my confidence, let alone, help me remember how to be flirtatious around my hubby lol! I'm a plain Jane, even though I have no children, I love the comfort of wearing basketball shorts and a tank top or shirt for the day, while cleaning the bathroom or cooking breakfast. The only time I actually make an effort to look confident is when I go out on a date with my husband, or for a family party, which is rare. But that's the thing, I hadn't had a lot of confidence to start with, and makeup was a pathway I chose. I don't think it should be necessary, because I  feel like confidence helps show your inner beauty, thus, the natural instinct of a "bombshell" comes out.

I know it's been a long intro, and for that, I say you've just leveled up!:P

As of October 12th, I've gotten my tracking code as to know my whereabouts about my Ipsy Glam bag. Fortunately, it's arrived in the post office central in Honolulu! It said my shipping delivery date is on the 15th, as promised on Ipsy's website, our bag will be shippied in the middle of the month. Be that as it may, Hawai'i is always a bit late on their delieveries. None the less, I hope I'll receive my mail on the 15th as promised:)

*UPDATE*

Well, well, well, I got my Ipsy bag two days early! YAY! Considering I thought it would take a while, since I live in Hawai'i.
So these are the products I received in my bag. There were two full sized products, and 3 deluxe sample sized ones. First off, the bag definitely screams retro bombshell. With the black and white chevron stripes and the shiny bright red lining, it is a really glammed up bag this month! By the way, NO, it didn't have a weird smell to the bag lol.
I knew I was going to have this quad, it was just a feeling I guess:p. I wished we had the option of customizing. The "personalized " products were chosen for us, so everyone had a different color for this quad, and for the lip stain. I've seen a lot of videos on this month's bag that they wish they got a different color, hopefully Ipsy makes an option on what we can choose, maybe that would make it easier. From he top left; This "Vibrant Blue" eyeshadow isn't as pigmented as shown. I swatched without a primer though, and I hope a base will make it stand out even more. On the top right; "Deep Eggplant" was more of a very dark royal purple with silver glitter chunks in it, not a favorite, but it would look great as a smokey eye look. Bottom left; "CandleLight" is a shimmer creamy white color. I would love to use this in my inner corners! The bottom right; "Elven Midnight", looked like a shimmer silver, but when I swatched it, it is actually a shimmery dark purple. It really reminds me of I-Candy Couture's Sincerely mineral eyeshadow! These eyeshadows really feel smooth, so smooth it seems like a cream eyeshadow, but it certainly isn't. I'm going to have to try this with an eyeshadow brush, hopefully these freakishly smooth eyeshadows won't give me a bad fallout experience.

Be a Bombshell liquid eyeliner in "Onyx" reminded me of a black permanent marker. This tip is so huge! I don't think I can use it to wing my eye. I swatched these on my hand, it didn't seem like I could get enough control on it. I let it sit on my hand for about a minute until touching it, and it didn't smudge at all. The picture below was when I started to sweat profusely in my room, Autumn in Hawai'i is Summer, so let me just put it at that:P I wiped it off with a baby wipe, and it came off clean the first time, so that's a cool thing. It's not waterproof though, so don't go swimming with this.

What's your type Mascara "the body builder" from The Balm has an interesting wand. It reminds me of Covergirl's lashblast wand because it isn't a fiber wand. Being that it's called the body builder, I'm assuming it's a volumizing mascara, so we'll see.I'm very picky on my mascaras. Usually I go for waterproof because it won't weigh down my lashes, but I'll give this the benefit of the doubt:)
This serum smells like Coconut, but I couldn't find any sign of it in the ingredients except Jojoba Oil, which I hear is very good for hair. The purpose of this sample is to calm frizzyness, flyaways, and keep your hair silky smooth. I use the Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine Serum, and it works great, I wonder if this'll replace it:). It's a fairly big sample, being that it's a hair product, so kudos to that!

Last but not least, the Mirenesse "Lip Bomb" in "number 2", or on Ipsy it says "Bomb 2". Weird for a name but oh well! I love it because it's dramatic, it is a vibrant cherry red, and the wand is very interesting. It has a bulb like form and then it forms as a regular skinny wand on the end.

Overall, the pros were definitely that they provided a working tracking number, it arrived earlier than expected, and that the products were all packaged well and the bag wasn't damaged. Cons, I really hope they give the option of us picking what we want if they are going to give us the option of several colors such as the lacquer gloss and the coastal scents quad.

FTC DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A PROMOTER FOR IPSY, I BOUGHT THIS WITH MY OWN MONEY, ANYTHING I STATE IN THE BLOGPOST IS MY OWN HONEST OPINION.
